The
Re-Enchantment of Life: Ritual in Our Time
Durren Anderson
Ritual and devotion, even in
religious institutions, have fallen on hard times. Perhaps to our
detriment we’ve allowed too much to be devoured by the ‘tyranny of the
now.’ But time in ritual space slows down, and what humans have
traditionally found there has been highly prized. We’ll look at dimensions
of ritual; aesthetic, moral, personal and communal in hopes of finding
some practices worth keeping.

Is the Universe
a Safe Place To Be
Don Prantl
Continuing to explore this
question from a non-conventional Christian point of view involves both
pitfalls and an underlying alternative reiterated by Yeshua the Anointed
One that finds various expressions in differing personalities. Such things
have given rise to the Enneagram, among other devices, as an effort to
understand ourselves and facilitate our spiritual evolution. Join us for
an interesting investigation that relates to everyone’s life experience.

Seven Deadly
Sins: Gluttony
Ruth Semrau
In a world of slaughter,
fanaticism and pain, are we worried that someone may be overeating?
Why are these sins called ‘deadly?’ And does a fourth-century list
of sins have relevance to our lives in the 21st?

Advent
One in a series
on the Seasons of the Christian Liturgical Year
Jay Noble
This is the time of expectant
waiting and preparation for the celebration of Christmas. Even though some
of us do not observe these holidays in a religious sense, as Unitarians
and Universalists and as full human beings, we are still called upon to
reflect on their spiritual meaning.
