May 6th Fruit of the Orchard: Environmental Justice in East Texas Tammy Cromer-Campbell They always dump the nasty stuff where they think the people are too poor to fight it, which is what happened in 1982 in the town of Winona. Ms.Cromer-Campbell has documented the results with photographs.
May 13th Mother’s Day Panel led by Jo Porterfield If you wish to participate, please bring a picture of a mother you would like to recognize. There will be time during ‘joys and concerns’ to honor that person.
May 20th Andrew Jackson Davis, 19th Century Clairvoyant Terri York Davis was an illiterate farm boy who dappled with "magnetism" which led to a life-changing experience in 1844 which, in turn, lead to enlightenment. Come and hear about his lectures against superstitious religion, life after death, and his later role as a physician.
May 27th Wesak - Buddha Day Durren and Jonna Anderson The most significant sacred day of the Buddhist calendar marks the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha. It is celebrated with great joy and vivid colors. Let us wear our brightest colors today.
