Religious Education Classroom:
· Huey presented the results of the congregations decision on remodeling the back building. The congregation has given the Board permission to spend a maximum of $45K for increasing our Religious Education Class room space. The $45K is to include The $10K grant from NTAUUS. With a possible $35K bank Loan.
.
· The three proposals explored are: Adding on to the building, remodeling the existing back building, and using a manufactured structure.
· Janet Parker reports that Ragland Sales will build a shell building of 512 sq. ft. (16x32) for $18,000.
· Hugman Architects estimate a cost of $150 per sq. ft. to add on or $150,000.
· Janet Parker our Fellowship representatives met with Premier construction this past Tuesday and received an estimate cost of $55 K for 700 sq. ft.
· Huey reports that a manufactured structure new would be $36,000 to 41,000 new or $24,100 used.
· The existing building would be $25,000 to remodel without a bathroom or running water. It may be too small already at 544 sq. ft.
· Sheila will continue to seek an answer about changing the original grant proposal to represent the solution that is most practical for the Fellowship.
· Much discussion ensued. The board elected to remodel the shed.
· At this time, the board will recommend financing a portion of the cost through South Side Bank as an equity line of credit or the best available financial option.
· Water and electric hook up must be figured into any plan.
