Newsletter Report:
Sky said that the Newsletter will not necessarily include everything but will include pertinent info at their discretion.  Perhaps there can be a link on the site to the complete minutes.
The web site is up and functional but we have a storage problem.  We can get 25 more mgs, which will meet our needs for $4.95 per month.  Jessica moved we do so, Erika seconded.  The motion passed.
Contributions to the newsletter are requested by the 18th of each month.
Our web site address is uulongviewtx@yahoo.com
Treasurer's Report:
Jay distributed the financial report.  We finished the fiscal year in the black and have had a growth year.  There was further discussion about pledges.
Ellen asked if we should explore an opportunity for pledging for those who would like to do so.  Jessica suggested we research what Boston considers to be the benefits of pledging and volunteered to do this research.  Ellen suggested that we move the 2003-2004 amount taken in that exceeds expenses into the opportunity fund.
Frank asked that we develop a committee to make suggestions for social concerns.
Jay told us that our CD matured and was rolled over.
The Longview News Journal bill, $109, will be paid now but really should have been paid from last year's budget.
Ellen moved that the $1,769 minus any unpaid bills be included in the opportunity fund.
Jay seconded and the motion passed.
We will give info to Sky and Huey about what social funds we have given in the past.

Programs  for August reported by Erika:

August 8    Wisdom from the Road Crew – Frank Herbert
August 15    Lovecraft's Labours – Philip Scott
August 22    Censorship -  Barbara Cavin

Newsletter Report:  Sky and Huey are now doing the newsletter.  They are expanding its contents to include minutes of board meetings and financial information.  We are all grateful to Sky and Huey for undertaking this important and challenging job for the fellowship.
Old Business:
There was further discussion about the door to the RE room. Paul is looking for a door at the Re-Store – the landlady does not want us to cut into the existing door.  Jay suggested that if necessary we should add any needed funds to Austin's $100 donation to complete this project.
Sky suggests that we contact the owner about her responsibility to make sure electricity is up to what it needs to be.
Jessica thinks we should have our carpet cleaned.  We will pursue a volunteer to clean the carpet.
New Business:
Ruth donated bookmarks to Sky who gave them to R.E. to be handed out to our kids.  Thanks Ruth and Sky.  Nell is passing on the application for 501C3 status for review and to fill in financials that need to be filled in to Erika and Helen.  Thanks to Nell for all her hard work.

Sherry adjourned the meeting at 10:58

                                Respectfully submitted,
